O'CONNOR
My name is Gabby O'Connor and I am a Master's candidate in International Education Management (IEM) with a focus on Japanese Language at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey.
Growing up in a bicultural, Japanese American household, I learned to navigate living within two cultures with many differences. Now, my passion is to help students access opportunities to learn new languages and cultures, make international connections and friendships, and most importantly, to discover their sense of self in the world.
In my past work experiences, I have advised students on college and major selection, and aided in creating programs that provide access to opportunities, services, and resources related to equity, diversity, and inclusion. In the future, I look to provide equitable opportunities to all students within international education to further develop their academic, professional, and personal goals.
